
We ship from Neche, North Dakota, USA, at least once a week, for most orders, and ship every 2 days from Canada for larger Canadian orders, as well as most Western Canadian orders.
United States: Postage and handling is estimated at $4.00 for the first paperback, ($5.00 for the first hardcover), and 50 cents for each additional book, with adjustments being made for weight on larger orders. Parcels are sent through the USPS by Media Rate, unless otherwise specified. (We automatically upgrade all parcels under 10 ounces in weight, to First Class Mail. (Priority mail service is also available at $5.50 for the first item, and $1.00 for each additional item.) Delivery confirmation, which includes a tracking number, is available for 75 cents extra. Without this addition, tracking numbers are not available.
Insurance, if desired, is available at current Post Office rates.
Canada: Postage and handling is estimated at $8.00 for the first book, and 50 cents for each additional book, with adjustments being made for weight on larger orders. (All Canadian parcels are shipped by First Class Mail International from the USA, except for thin paperbacks, which can be mailed First Class Letter Rate from Canada, large orders, and Western Canadian orders. Orders of 3 or more books are also often shipped from Canada, by Expedited Parcel rate.)
Insurance, if desired, is available at current Post Office rates.
Outside North America: Single paperbacks are sent by First Class Mail International for $8.00. Any larger items are sent Priority Mail International, for $14.00. There are definite advantages to ordering multiple books in a single package. In any event, we try to calculate the best shipping method for each order before we confirm it. Delivery confirmation, with tracking number, is available for $2.50 extra.
Shipping rates to all countries may vary, however, if an order is particularly light or heavy.
New materials are used for shipping most packages. Single paperbacks, magazines, and cheaper hardcovers are generally shipped in bubble envelopes, and hardcovers, larger items, and multiple book orders are shipped in new cardboard boxes. Many items are also bagged in plastic prior to shipping.
Return policy: We accept all responsiblity of delivery or loss. If you feel an item has been misdescribed, we will either provide a mutually satisfactory price adjustment, or pay for the return of the book.
